Episode summary
The remains of an eight-year-old boy are uncovered, twenty-five years after he was reported missing. DSs Brooks and Devlin re-interview the man arrested during the original enquiry. The boy's childhood friend reluctantly agrees to undergo EMDR therapy and appears to recall the events of the night that Tommy disappeared, but George Castle is sceptical about the value of her recovered memories.
Fun and viewer review
DS Devlin: 'Okay, so we missed the corpse.' Okay, so you're probably the crappiest copper I've ever met.
DS Brooks: He's just a product of his time, Matt.
DS Devlin: What, there were no good detectives back then?
DS Brooks: Oh yeah, you're talking to one. Like I keep telling you, I am special.

SHARE
DS Brooks [ about Tommy Keegan ]: Ah, so his dad got him into the Hammers.
DI Chandler: Sorry?
DS Devlin: West Ham, commonly known as the Hammers, because they keep getting [ singsong ] hammered.
DS Brooks: Watch it, sunshine.
